Another year, another Interzum Fair!

The end of 2020 is coming, the year most of us will probably not remember fondly. In the years to come it will be remembered as the year of the pandemic. Despite all the hardships we are successfully completing our expansion project. We hope that everything bad will remain in the 2020, and next year we will forget about covid and move on.

The construction of commercial buildings in the value of HRK 20,000,000.00 has started.

The new pre-dryer, workshop, fuel and oil storage, and vacuum dryer are a continuation of the story that began in 2016.

Last week, we entered into a partnership with the German group Carl Götz who will be a supplier of our products to the German market.

The Carl Götz group of companies is one of the leading timber wholesalers in Germany with 13 branches. Founded in 1947 by Hans Zumsteg the company developed to a major provider of all products related to building and wood products.

With the implementation of the lifters we gained more speed to our workflow and we have minimized the possibility of injuries and work-related health problems.  Vaccum lifters help ensure an ergonomic position when lifting, saving employees from straining their backs, shoulders and knees. One worker alone can easily and safely handle longer and havier boards.

On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas holidays and end of the year, on Friday, December 13, all employees of our company auric timber d.o.o. gathered at the Christmas party at Ivona restaurant in Slatina. After the director Mr. Martin Kunštek welcomed us and thanked us all for the hard work and effort that resulted in another successful end of the business year, he wished us a Merry Christmas and a happy and successful new year. We continued our meal with delicious food and in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere until the late evening hours.

While the slavonian delicacies were being prepared, a regular annual poll was held. In the poll all employees write down their opinion of what they think is good and what is bad in the company and give suggestions on how things can be improved. This is how we all work together to improve working conditions and our business for the next season. After lunch, we all socialized together and had a good drop of wine from a barrel of wine that was made by our sister company auric barrels. Musicians joined our party and led the song and dance with the sound of tambourines. Sounds of music, song and dance continued long into the night.

We took home a whole bunch of positive impressions, new acquaintances and potential partnerships.

In the four days of the fair, our stand was visited by over a thousand people. These visitors got to know our company, staff members and were able to examine our displayed extra-long prime grade timber.

Last but not least, our visitors could also try Slavonian acorn ham, wine, and other delicacies from our forests. After all, the best deals are concluded over good food or a glass of wine…
